Vicar’s View:

“For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” - Ephesians 2:10

Shalom,

Mankind, who is the crown of all creation was made in pure and complex creativity of Almighty God. If the first five days were simply a verbal ventilation for Creation Ex-Nihilo, then, creation of human was Creation Ex Deo, and replicating himself in all means.

This Lenten season, where we strive to dive into our inner spiritual being so as to become like God it also gives us a creative cathartic means for exalting God too.

The season’s reason is not all about abstaining oneself but taking a moment for assessing our concealed gifts, protrude the gospel and church teachings through creative bent.

The Gregorian Gazette an initiative of MGOCSM and FOCUS ministry of St. Gregorios Orthodox Church of India, Queens, would bear torch for the post truth GenZ proclaiming the Orthodox Doctrines and Legacy through different literary and art forms.

The very first edition of the Gregorian Gazette accentuates on Lent and Easter as its theme. The untiring works of the Editorial team can’t merely be accolade with appreciatory words but surely an unceasing prayers and blessings for bringing out more editions, widening the horizon by helping to reach the zenith of Orthodox faith and teaching.

May God bless all the endeavors of the Gregorian Gazette to engage, enhance and express their views through this platform.

In His Grip, Fr. Jerry Varghese

(Vicar)
